Tirzah Fullmer

Varsity Head Coach

The Varsity Head Coach is Tirzah C. Fullmer. Coach Fullmer was born in Chicago, Illinois as part of a twin set, and is still very close to her basketball playing twin brother. Coach Fullmer played on the varsity basketball team for Pleasant Grove High School (in Pleasant Grove, Utah), receiving honors as a Kodak All American, as well as All State, and Academic All State honors. In 2000, she was chosen as the PGHS female athlete of the decade.

After graduating from PGHS, she attended Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. At UVSC, she led all scorers in most games, and was given the Frank Layden Award as the outstanding female athlete from a junior college during her sophomore year.

She completed her NCAA eligibility with a full-ride scholarship at the University of Alaska Anchorage. With a specialty in 3-pointers, Coach Fullmer holds the UAA record for the second most 3-pointers scored in a career. She was also chosen a member of the all-conference team twice during her time at UAA.

After graduating from UAA, Coach Fullmer was an Assistant Coach at Service High School, and was later an Assistant Coach of the UAA Women's basketball team.

Coach Fullmer is excited to be coaching the new South Anchorage High Varsity team in its innaugural year, and is excited to work with each of the girls on the basketball teams.


Jennifer Buck

Varsity Assistant Coach

The Varsity Assistant Coach is Jennifer Buck. Coach Buck played college basketball for West Florida for one year and then finishing at The University of Alaska Anchorage from 1998-2001. She worked her way into the line-up quickly at UAA, finishing her career as a starter in the post-player position. As a freshman at West Florida, Coach Buck's squad won the Gulf Coast Conference East Division title with a 25-5 record and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Coach Buck prepped at Dimond High where she earned a total of nine varsity letters: Basketball (3), Softball (3) and Track & Field (3). She earned all-state and all-conference honors as a senior while helping the basketball team to a fourth-place finish in the 1997 Class 4A state tournament, and was the team captain. She averaged 13 points and 9 rebounds as a senior, and 10 points and 6 rebounds as a junior. She was a two-time track and field captain, and won Region IV shot put title and second in discus.

Here's what Coach Fullmer has to say about Coach Buck: "I am excited to have Coach Buck on our staff. Her excitement and dedication to the game of basketball is incredibly contatious, something I am hoping will rub off on the girls. She will give us great insight and knowledge into leading and developing our post players. Coach Buck will challenge, motivate, and work well with these girls. She has so much to teach, the girls will learn so much from her and I am so grateful to have her as part of our staff."

Sarah Larrabee

Junior Varsity Coach

The Junior Varsity coach is Sarah Larrabee. Coach Larrabee played for the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1999-2004. Where she played point guard. Working her way quickly into the 4-year program as a Freshman to an important leader as a senior. She was the team captain the 2002-2003, 2003-2004 seasons, and most inspirational player for the 2003-2004 season. Coach Larrabee was also an integral part of the Great Alaska Shootout Championship team in 2003. She Coached for Gillette Sweet Shot Basketball Camp from 1999-2004, as well as coaching for Northwest Basketball Camps 2002-2003.

Coach Larrabee was a four-year letter winner at Dimond High, and was an all-state selection her senior season, averaging 14 points, five assists and three steals per game. She has had the honors of two-time All-Region IV selection, five-time all-tourney selection at in-season tournaments, and helped the Lynx to two trips to Class 4A state tournament. She was four-year tennis letterwinner, was member of region champion girls doubles team her senior season, and helped Dimond to the region tennis title her junior season.

Here's what Coach Fullmer has to say about Coach Larrabee: "Coach Larrabee has such a sound and fundamental knowledge of the game of basketball. She will bring great guidance and knowledge to our point guards as we strive to develop their funamentals. Raised in a basketball family, playing it her entire life, and playing on several different levels, Coach Larrabee is an incredible asset to our coaching staff. She will bring great things to our new program, she will inspire the girls, teach them to be successful, and be a terrific role model for them."


Stephanie Seward

C Team Coach

The C Team coach is Stephanie Seward. Coach Seward has several years of coaching experience: From 2003-2004 Coach Seward coached the junior varsity girls at Service High School. 2002-2003 she coached the C Team girls at Service High School. She just finished a season coaching the C Team volleyball team at Service High School as well. She has coached numerous recreational teams here in the Anchorage area since 1995.

Coach Seward played college basketball for Western Oregon University from 1997 to 1999 where she was a tremendous athlete and asset to the Wolves program. She prepped at Chugiak High School were she played Varsity Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball.

At Chugiak High School, Coach Seward was an Alaska All-State and All-Region selection in both basketball and softball. Region IV All-Conference in Basketball, Volleyball, & Softball. Part of the state and Region IV championship volleyball team.

Here's what Coach Fullmer has to say about Coach Seward: "Coach Seward will be a tremendous and important coach for us this year. She is the head C Team coach. Her knowledge, leadership, and competitive drive is vital to the development our younger athletes. Her expertise in all areas of the game are apparent and will be such a valuable asset to starting our new program off on the right foot. I am so excited to have Coach Seward on this staff."
