Tirzah Fullmer
Varsity Head Coach
The Varsity Head Coach is Tirzah C. Fullmer. Coach Fullmer was born in Chicago, Illinois as part of a twin set, and is still very close to her basketball playing twin brother. Coach Fullmer played on the varsity basketball team for Pleasant Grove High School (in Pleasant Grove, Utah), receiving honors as a Kodak All American, as well as All State, and Academic All State honors. In 2000, she was chosen as the PGHS female athlete of the decade.
After graduating from PGHS, she attended Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. At UVSC, she led all scorers in most games, and was given the Frank Layden Award as the outstanding female athlete from a junior college during her sophomore year.
She completed her NCAA eligibility with a full-ride scholarship at the University of Alaska Anchorage. With a specialty in 3-pointers, Coach Fullmer holds the UAA record for the second most 3-pointers scored in a career. She was also chosen a member of the all-conference team twice during her time at UAA.
After graduating from UAA, Coach Fullmer was an Assistant Coach at Service High School, and was later an Assistant Coach of the UAA Women's basketball team.
Coach Fullmer is excited to be coaching the new South Anchorage High Varsity team in its innaugural year, and is excited to work with each of the girls on the basketball teams.
